Brodie Peteran is a Toronto-born designer and entrepreneur who is passionate about the environment, circular design and bold colour palettes. Sustainability is central to her life and her work, so it was an easy decision to have everything she creates tie back to our earth. Her motto is simple: “Make people feel as good about the clothing as they do in them.”
Gotcha Covered’s brand story started in August 2020 as a response to the massive amounts of single-use waste that was a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It seemed that our beautiful beaches, parks, and sidewalks were littered with single-use masks and gloves, and Brodie knew she wanted to create wearable, comfortable and natural fabric masks that people wouldn’t want to throw out. They set out on a mission to make masks that were good for the planet, and that people actually wanted to wear!
Fast forward a few months, and they released their first clothing collection made entirely from linen. Linen is breathable, comfortable, and 30% stronger than cotton.
Sustainability practices: Oeko-Tex certified linen, made-to-order production process, production with low waste, timeless designs, small collections.
